distance between upper and lower bar for rudder

I`m building a new cage and I don`t have the rudders yet, on 48in. rudders would 48- 3/4 in. be enough distance to make sure the rudders would fit, I know the rudders come with bushings that are about 5/16 thick. RCM

I think mine are about 52". It will depend on how ur mounting the rudder and what the rudder measurement is with bushings installed.
 
Every cage i build i put my tabs at 49" i do build my own rudders but that measurement works great for me on 48" rudders with bushings installed
 
Forgot to mention if they weld in tubing to guide the rods in it depends on how much they trim it down before they put the bushings in
