Don't know jack bout em

Since the flood of 2019 much of the river is really jacked up. I was thinking about an airboat. The mini's are appealing, due to their limited height and size. (because of low hanging trees in the rivers etc).

The normal loading of a boat would be two guys and hunting gear and a deer or two.

I am thinking that a mini (with a briggs) wouldn't have enough power. Is there such a thing as a smaller gas airboat, metal hull that is more of a low profile? If so, can you point me to brand names?

Don't know what your calling a mini but 500 lbs of people 75 lbs of gear an two deer I would think your looking at 12 to 14 foot of boat.

I was thinking that the work load was going to be too much for a mini airboat. Is there an airboat that the motor and driver don't sit so far up. (more of a lower profile boat).

are you looking to build or purchase a boat? I agree with Gary above that a mini is not what you need for that heavy load.

fjdrill: I live in Hamilton.

Kwanjangnihm: My issue with a bigger boat is not the size but how far up off the boat the rigging and seat is. I was hoping to find a boat where the seat and rigging are mounted closer to the boat side walls like a mini

Seating is below the cage so if seat Hight is a problem the prop is a bigger problem. I say a 6 cyl aircraft on a 13 foot with a deep hull not a real shallow hull. Other wise a duck boat may be what your looking for.
