Don't tell the wife my boats up for sale!

You will most likely cry when that boats goes down the road, hitched to somebodies truck. That boats must have made some fantastic memories.
One of a kind.

Those 29 scutrons might feel real good in your hand, but when she gone, you gonna be hurting!!!!!!!!!!

looking forward to seeing you new project and toy.

It won't last long and it will be gone!!!!

I hope I can duplicate it again that's for sure. I have two or three new things I want to try and I just don't want to cut up my boat to test them!

Thanks for posting the pic. I must admit I love this boat and don't know if I can build another one that performs like it. But I must always tinker with things and I have a few new ideas I want to try. I'm thinking of a 1000HP west palm beach hull. Norman at Inovative has been trying to talk me into one for years. And now I think I know what I need to do to make a great running boat with serious HP's.

WATER THUNDER YOU BEEN PEEKIN IN MY SHOP WINDOW AGAIN ??????

This is cowboy's expertise and picture, but I will start it out:

It is a soft (round) chine hull typically made from two sheets of heat treated aluminum riveted. The sheets each form half of the boat and are bent up to also form the sides thus the soft chines.

Since the metal is hardened it is strong and can be thinner with equal strength compared to a welded hull. If the hardened metal is welded, it loses its heat treat.

Since the riveting is labor intensive, they are typically more $$$ than a welded hull.

I hope Cowboy will add the more practical information.

PB, nice shape, wide in the stern, sweet curves, flat belly

when you see one, you know you like it, may not know what it is about them you like, you just know you like them.

They are BAD A$$ boats

COWBOY UP!!!!!

BTW, I'll throw in a nice set of head lights to make rick happy.

I'am Talking "AIRBOAT" man!!!!!

My boat now the one for sale is fully riveted hardened aluminum A.K.A. 70 series. I kinda want the same exact bottom that I have now the only thing I want different then the hull I have now is the sloped down rear because of the amount of HP Im throwing on my next boat. I don't like the swept up side's like most PB hulls have I love the flatter thurman style bottom. So I want a Thurman bottom and sides with a West Palm swept down rear deck. The only reason why is my next motor is going to be phyco beast and I need my prop as low as possible and I aint building no open hull

Alright Mr. Thunder et al, talk to me about these deckover boats.

Are they as stable as open boats? I'm really interested in them and may buy one one day, but I need to know more about 'em. I saw a really low sided deckover the other day leaving the boat ramp at Cypress and had to catch my breath after watching him run down the hill and into the water. Man, it looked like he was just going to keep going down and sink.

LETS NOT PUT IT INTO THE HANDS OF A TREE HUGGER WHO HAS NEVER RUN AN AIRBOAT BEFORE!!!

SAVE THE A/B FAMILY OF A NEW LAW GREEN HORN THAT MAY PUT NEW LAWS INTO EFFECT ABOUT AIRBOATS..

THEY PUT 2 HOURS BEHIND THE STICK AND THEY ARE PROFESSIONALS!!! AND KNOW EVERYTHING.

NEXT THING YOU KNOW YOU WILL WAKE UP WITH A PIECE OF TREE BARK NEXT TO YOUR TOILET!!!

dawg

That is definately NOT a beginners airboat. Dave is no fool and he has better sense than to sell it at any price to someone that will get hurt with it. I wouldn't be too concerned about that happening dawg :)
