Well got my cylinders back from Ducarra and installed them, engine would not turn over very easy. Removed cylinders and found the cylinder bore was hour glass shaped, rehoned and reinstalled. Now the engine runs and the I noticed the #1 cylinder was leaking. Removed cylinder and found 3 very noticable cracks at the exhaust valve seat. Called Duccara and they denied any worng doing or sh===ty workmanship. Long story short I had to buy another cylinder and install it. I have had to tear this engine down 3 times to fix their mistakes. THEY ALSO WILL NOT FIX THE PROBLEM! THEY OFFERED ME A SET OF RINGS FOR FREE. How is a set of rings going to help me for the extra time,money,labor for what I had to do? STAY AWAY FROM THEM>>>>> :evil:

Get those rings from them. Lycoming rings are $60.00 a set. Don't know what GPUs cost.
At least you can get a little back from them.

I never had a problem with them but I only bought bare parts like gaskets, rings and bearings. Thanks for the info, I know most people are just putting O470 jugs on their 220's now because their cheaper THEN A 220GPU cylinder. You can also bore a 220 case and install 520 jugs. They make for a strong 520 GPU motor.
