I can't seem to keep my orange flag on my whip antenna
I am using a plastic coated orange flag and need some advice on mounting it to a whip antenna and making it stay on.

thanks

Well I took a 3/8 bolt and put it in the vise then with a small torch heated up about 3" of the whip and wrap it around the bolt . Then you have a loop to zip tie or put some snaps to it. I us a stainless steal marine fold down ant. mount. If your using a whip you will need to grind down some of the brass nut to make it slide into the base. Then drill a hole in the side for a set screw.
If your using a small whip like the one on a door or the top of a cab, then I used a L shape bracket with a air coupler. Ya know like the kind you use on a air compressor. Then when it's time to go just pop it out and your down the road.

Hope this helps

I cut a grove in the fiberglass with a file and added a tie rape hasn't flown off yet
