Eastern Airlines Flight 401 Tribute Group

Yesterday several members of AAOF took seven members of the Eastern Airlines Flight 401 Tribute Group out to the crash site. Several of the members are survivers of the crash. The goal of the trip was to locate, identfy and record GPS positions of debris that is still at the crash site. The trip was a success! We found what they were looking for. I want to thank everyone involved for the time, knowledge and effort that made the trip happen.

You can see pictures of the trip here http://www.ealflt401.blogspot.com/

Fantastic ! Sure glad to see they are moving forward on this.

Did I read they are doing away with the dike around the area of the wreckage? Will this submerge whats left of the post crash artifacts?

We have so many new members I sure wish they would read these threads about the flight 401 and Bud Marquis, just for an appreciation of events past that involved an airboater back then and hoards of airboaters years later. It kinda shows the world what we are made of in my mind. Just don't want to tee the memory and the event lost.
