haborfreight sale paper has a 3000lb 12volt winch for $69. We used to use the cheap $49 because they had a plastic housing to help protect some form the slat water

I was looking at the ones at Harbor today, they have three on sale. A 2000# 49.00 a 3000 with wireless remote for 69.00 and a 3000 for 89.00.

oops, I stand corrected. I was looking at the 120V portable winch.
I guess that wouldn't work to good in the marsh, unless you had
a long extension cord, or could find a receptacle on one of them
willer trees. sorry.
