EMT ladder stand chair??

I am getting ready to build another EMT ladder stand. I have a steel garden chair. Any thoughts on pros/cons of just making a ladder and just welding the chair to the top with some additional supports for the rear legs?

Any better ideas for the seat? Pics appreciated.

Just make diagonal struts from rear legs back down to ladder frame uprights, couple good size washers welded to seat to strap to tree with a ratchet strap, plus a safety harness for you, in case you doze off, I know of a couple people that are partially paralyzed due to dozing off, falling and fracturing their necks.

Thanks John. That is basically what I’m thinking. And I always wear a harness. I leave those safety ropes so all I have to do is clip on and slide it up.

Nice and simple, no noise, no smell, easy to move if you need to stand
