Everglades battle ends in a draw

That was found in an area roughly 20-25 miles south of my camps. I had no idea we had those things loose in the Glades, a scary thought. i'm hoping they stay south and don't like to cross roads as highway 41 is a divider between that area and mine. I just don't like the idea of a snake that could be hiding in the trees that could easily snatch my 2 year old daughter.

Years ago I lived in the glades for several years I used to catch and sell snakes of all types. I ran up on a green snake I didn't recognize and decided he would be good to catch and sell. Well let me tell you he ran me right back into my truck fast and he was only about 4 foot long. I saw it again and tried to catch it again and same thing happened it had a real bad attitude. I looked it up in a book and it turns out it was a green mamba very poisonous very bad attitude sudden death if bitten. Well the next time I saw that fella he took a quiick trip to the happy hunting ground.

It seems he had gotten off one of the drug planes that used to land just outside of naples while they were unloading the cargo. There are bad things out in the woods that don't belong there so pay attention especially in the glades which is below the normal frost line for our state and tropical critters do real well there with no natural enemies to speak of.

There is dog out there call python pete and he's a beagle that is trained in one thing, Finding python's. From what I've heard there is a group trying to get rid of them as we speak.
