exhaust wrap

I had thoughts of wrapping my new flex with some woven glass tape, Any do's or don'ts. I thought it might look alittle better than the rust stained ss.

Hey Mike .... the Header Wrap that you get from places like Summit is
great for reducing noise, and it's a lot safer for anyone moving around on your boat to keep them from gettin' burned by a hot pipe. I've seen some of the company you keep, and you sure wouldn't want anything that looks that good to get burned ... :)

The only down side I know of is that it holds in so much heat that your flex pipe deteriorates faster. That's a trade off I'm willing to make.

Be careful. The wrap holds in moisture and greatly reduces your pipe life. If you have good SS it should not matter. The safety issue might outweigh the reduced life!

Well if the wrap holds in moisture .. then it sounds like it will require daily operation of the airboat in order to maintain it .. thats a good thang right.. I mean cant let it rust out LOL maybe I better get me some for the quiet boat contest coming up

I was at Diamondback the other day and they have a piece of flex pipe with 3 different colors on it. One is silver, one looks regular, and one is black. Anyone know anything about this or how well it holds up.
