I would like to emphasize the need to continue working on Airboating access. Our legislative committee is hard at work, but starving for the community's support, we need financial help more than ever and it will take all of you to help our Heritage continue. I'm not a begar or good at asking for money but we could put any extra change you have to good use so support our hardworking effort. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Just about all of our affiliates have been hard at work making all Airboaters shine in one-way or the other. With more clubs setting up websites and forums makes access more open on what is going on in the outside world so take advantage and look outside of the box. I still feel sportsman's are ahead when it comes to promoting ourselves you don't see environmentalists/tree huggers out doing community clean ups, just making news by making fools of themselves.
There are areas in the state that we consider to be devoid of representation or guidance to what is needed for Airboating culture. We have filled the gap in Ocala and Live Oak with two new successful clubs. The FAA can provide guidance to setting up a club properly and has done so in the past so contact us if there's not one in you area. We will do all we can to see your club be successful also.

The 2nd annual FAA Airboat Show is scheduled for October 4th in Wildwood, FL. We learned alot from our first show and are looking forward to this years show. More to come......

The FAA continues to fight our airboating recreational access and defend us from your opponent. One of our State Senators plans to introduce airboat sound by 40%. The present state enabling act permits counties to adopt a sound ordinance not to exceed 90db measured at a distance of 50 feet. No airboat can achieve this proposed restriction.
We are asking for your help to fund the fight for your rights to use your airboat in a responsible manner. Is giving up the expense of one weekend on the water worth your future airboating activities?
Why act now? We are facing restrictions on a county-by-county basis. As these precedents have not destroyed us, they will eventually result in a dynamic effect. The FAA has become more involved with Florida legislators and our side has somewhat mobilized by promoting the positive side of airboats.
While hiring a lobbyist is no guarantee of success, it does make a statement to our opponents and the state bureaucrats that we are to be taken seriously. Your contribution will help prepare to give equal footing to fight. How can we accomplish this goal? Send what it would cost you for a day on the lake. Help us accomplish your goals! Make check payable to FAA. Send to P.O. Box 2086 Bartow, FL 33831.

Florida Airboat Association's 1st Annual Airboater Appreciation open house will be helpd at Lake Cypress Fish Camp on July 12th. This is one date you will want to put on your calendar.
