Finally finished my build..

Well I finally finished my build.. I started this project in October of 2013 :shock:

16' custom built welded hull, custom built fully forged supercharged LS3 with nitrous, 2.68 counter rotator swinging two 8 blade Sabers
I'm thinking about calling her Double Trouble. She has 2 power adders, 2 cooling systems, 2 batteries, 2 fuel pumps, 2 props and she runs on E85 or 93.

The down side is the wind was blowing so hard yesterday that I really couldn't see how it preforms. The upside is it floats, which was a major concern :lol: :lol: Hopefully if the wind lays down this afternoon, I'll be able to give a performance update this evening

Beastly build there. Boat looks good! I think your choice of name is pretty solid too.

Thanks for the compliments! The silver coil is the NOS purge line. I haven't decided if I'm gonna route it somewhere or just leave it where it is now.

I took it out Sunday. It was still pretty windy but I was able to lean on it a few times and I got to say, I'm really liking that supercharger Gonna tweak a few things this week and give it another run this weekend. So far very happy with it

Good looking boat brother. How much additional thrust do you guys think is provided by the counter rotating blades? I know you get torque cancelation for sure but I would imagine you get some noticable additional thrust.

Thanks! I don't have any hard data but Panther claims a 30% increase in thrust with the CR. However that number has been debated several times so I'm really not sure :dontknow: Back when I started this build you still had to buy a whole boat to get the gearbox. I bought a complete used boat to get the box. It was a 16' panther with a crate 350ci/350hp small block. I used that boat for a whole season of hunting gators before I parted it out. During that time I put that boat in some unbelievable spots and never got it stuck. There is just no way that combo would have done what it done with a normal gearbox. I'm convinced there is a significant increase in thrust but I personally can't put a number on it.

It's supposed to be a nice weekend so hopefully I'll run her again tomorrow

Awesome build. You must be a very patient person, working and building your boat for eight years. I am with you on the hull style. I also like the AGI-A or Alaskan style hull.
