Finaly Waterthunder web site is done!

Waterthunder

Well-known member
Hey guy's let me know what you think! I will be updating the site for a while it's about half completed. I just wanted to get our site up and running. Any comments or requests will be appreciated! Here is the link. http://waterthunder.com/

Looks GREAT Dave ! You have done a great job there. You got it going your way, keep it going man !

Scotty

Very classy Thunder im empressed good luck hope it helps generates lots of work for you them bullets sure look sweet :)

Thanks guy's I will add a parts catalog for gearbox's, alternator brackets, headers maybe ignition controls and custom cam grinds. I'm not sure if I want to do the last two. I still need to add our fuel injected line of motors and I will have a dyno sheet for each combination! I just hate computer stuff and don’t have to much time for it so I figured I will get the site up and see what changes I need to make! I will also have a tech section about bolt on parts with the dyno results for upgrades on other motors including the conventional SBC and the BBC!

Nice site Waterthunder. The way you have itemized exactly what a customer gets is great. I also like the idea of your tech section for bolt on parts. That will be especially useful for your customers that have an existing motor that they can't afford to completely trick out. That way they can see what will give them the most bang for the buck! Keep it up!

WaterThunder, Great site! Got a question... will it be your name or the video that anti-airboaters will most likely use against the sport. I can feel the prop wash from my speakers. I don't know anything about you or your business but your site doesn't seem to support any initiatives toward quieter boats. Please consider that this as an outsider comment from someone with almost no airboat knowledge and no ill intent. MikeD74t

WATERTHUNDER WON THE QUIET AIRBOAT CONTEST. HE KNOWS HOW TO MAKE EM QUIET.

Then I respectfully suggest that aspect be emphasized on the Waterthunder site. If airboaters don't make 'em quiet then your legislature will make them silent. Better to control your own destiny. Even in New England Fish & Game is taking notice of other states' noise regulations. MikeD74T

Great site, Sir! I've always been a Lycoming guy, but looking at those powerplants has got me seriously thinking about that next boat. Nice job.

P.S. I think MikeD74T brings up a valid point. "Quiet" is gonna be the keyword for the future of airboating. You specialize in hi-performance engines and the name "Water Thunder" is perfect and to the point. But, with that said, it's not a bad idea to have a section that touts the industry's accomplishments in the area of sound reduction. Better to head 'em off at the pass.

I did win the sound testing. I was well below 80DB and my boat by far had the most horsepower of any of the boats participating. I know this will not bring me any business! Since I won the sound testing I only had one single person ask me what I did or how I did it. That person was Sniper and he wanted his boat to be quieter so he can hear people yelling for help when he does search and rescue work! So there is obviously no interest or money in it. My next boat will be even quieter it’s in the works right now. The whole quite boat thing I’m doing for myself out of an interest in doing something different. Plus it’s nice to talk to your wife and kid with out turning around or yelling while your ridding in a boat!

Great site Waterthunder!

I have no interest in owning an auto engine powered airboat, its just a traditional thing for me.
If I ever changed my mind I think I would be talking to you about my powerplant!

Keep up the good work!

Grant

Thanks for the good comments guy's the site is not as detailed as I wanted but I figure it’s better then what I had! Hey Grant I understand but you may be interested in the fully programable ignition I'm building for A/C motors! It will replace one mag so the die hard A/C guy's like yourself will still have one old style mag left as a back up. This is neat because you will have two completely different ignitions. I must note I have yet to ever have an ignition failure with an automotive motor! Anyway this unit you can program your own timing curve every hundred RPM's and have a start mode a idle mode and even a race mode!
