Financing when standard methods aren't there

Does anyone know where to find financing for a boat. I am on disability and standard financing methods are not an option because of it. I placed the ad below in hopes of finding someone interested but also need to explore different avenues if possible. Any suggestions? A "wannabe" owner :D (also don't need the latest and greatest just dependable but will run dry!)

Looking for smaller air-boat 150+ hp in good shape. (need to run dry some) I am a disabled person on a fairly decent fixed income and am looking for terms around 1000.00 down 500.00 mo for duration. Will provide refs etc. and this is neg.

I shoot freelance photography also and need boat to get out in the back areas of Kissimmee lake chain for superb wildlife documentation of the area for book I am putting together. Please help :)

Talk to Owners who are selling. It is rare, but some may take a promisory note. If your credit check is positive and the issue is the disability you might just luck out and find a seller willing to deal. If you have bad credit then its unlikely anyone will deal on a note with you.

Thats my perspective. I have taken a promosory note on things in the past but I always file an "Intent to Lean" form at the courthouse and I pay the $$ for a credit check. Be prepared to pay a premium for non standard financing as well. Laws do not govern what an individual can charge you for loaning you money. 50%-75% while stiff, is legal. 30% would be about fair I think, so be ready for it.

Hope this helps some.

I'm shooting a Nikon D3 and my main lens I shoot is a Nikon 400mm AF-S IF II 2.8

Yeah I hear that D3 is outstanding and the VR line is exceptional glass for sure! I could buy 2 air-boats for what I have in "L's" alone LOL. Priorities I guess...

I know I could do exceptional work with a boat, get up close and personal with the wildlife and a 400mm like a few action shots of gators feeding and birds blasting out of the water and such. Not to mention the high dollar bass tournaments.

I'm just dreaming on now but it will be a reality one of these days soon. The two pictures above were shot on Kissimmee o0ff an air-boat a friend has, he introduced me to the joy and excitement of the sport :) Now I have the bug but a thin wallet LOL

Ha, found out your right the hard way... Got a couple offers like this. What ever happen to people helping people, or promoting the sport out of love for it? LMAO

Some times greed gets old, good old American way I guess but I won't play :)

If anyone ever comes around Panama City and wants a few exceptional pictures of them and their airboat, hunt me up I'll do it FREE!!!!

Have a great day guy's!
