FLORIDA AIRBOAT ASSOCIATION AWARDED BOATING SAFETY GRANT

The FLORIDA AIRBOAT ASSOCIATION has been awarded a grant by the Boat U.S. Foundation.

Through its 2006 Boating Safety Grant Program, the Boat U.S. Foundation has awarded the FLORIDA AIRBOAT ASSOCIATION with a grant to promote life jacket (PFD) awareness to school age children.

The grant is for a one-year period, with the intent of establishing a perpetual educational program.

The life jacket awareness/education program will target elementary school age children, presenting them with printed T-shirts, cartoon flyers and posters emphasizing the use of life jackets.

BTW, took the airboat out today in the field behind my house.
20 degrees and 5 inches of snow eaquals a speed of over 85 MPH before the chicken factor (i.e. self preservation) kicked in. Ahhh, the life up north..
