I looked at your Airboat flags but they are square in shape and I may be wrong but I thought the law was that they were to be rectangular shaped. Is this correct or is it even an issue?

An airboat may not operate on the waters of the state unless it is equipped with a mast or flagpole bearing a flag at a height of at least 10 feet above the lowest portion of the vessel. The flag must be square or rectangular, at least 10 inches by 12 inches in size, international orange in color, and displayed so that the visibility of the flag is not obscured in any direction.

Folks I have held back on this since that silly legislation was enacted and nobody else has jumped on it but it is physically impossible for a flag that is 10x12 to be square. I simply couldn't believe someone in government actually wrote that. Then on the other hand maybe its just a sign of the times.

Whitebear, Seems like I remember it was Bill Nelson who introduced that law. I'm not at all surprised he would not know the difference between rectangular and square. I personally believe it's a good thing (the flag), but also quite sure it was someone else's idea.

WHAT SURPRISES ME IS HE DIDN'T MAKE IT CAMOUFLAGED INSTEAD OF ORANGE!
