OK - Let's get this thing started. I'm gonna be at the Airboating For Answers / Westin River Ranch Resort / FAA Airboaters Jamboree this weekend. Why not make this the kick off for Forum members to get together and ride together? I've got a room there and will post my phone number if other are interrested.

I should have said: Westgate River Ranch Resort.
I gotcha, for a minute I was thinking there might be another one. Will you guys be riding the river or the lake?

The big KRVSA Saturday ride will be ALONG THE LAKE EDGE. MOST AREAS IN cEBTRAL FLORIDA GOT UP TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN LAST NIGHT. sHOULD BE GOOD RIDING.

CCHardt, I sure want to. There may be a requirement for me to return to Tampa on Sunday and take Operation Iraqui Freedom commanders fishing. My son's USMCR unit has been recalled. Am doing all I can to avvoid this and ride the marsh this weekend.

sure like to ride over there but don't know the area never been there built brand new boat want to ride it but the only time i have is sunday

Big Daddy,

Can't seem to find any information of times(s) of events of the Juvenille Diabetes Airboat Jamboree this weekend. Can't find an airboat friendly campsite near there at this point.

1. What time does the poker run start on Saturday?
2. Does it start and end at the boat dock at River Ranch?
3. Do the airboats "dock" or tie-up at the River Ranch boat dock to participate in the event?
4. Are any airboat events scheduled for Sunday?
5. If no events on Sunday, is there anyone out there who can guide those of us who will be arriving late Saturday us around the lake?

Thanks,

Jeff

Have you tried Thomas Landing? They aren't too far up the lake from the lock leading to the river.

If you can't make it in time for the poker run and you wish to do some tent camping, put in at Camp Mack and camp along the river or the lakeshore along both Kissimmee and Hatchineha. The riding might be a little more interesting there, depending on what you like.

I can't make it Saturday but MAYBE Sunday. I have to check with momma but if so I'd be glad to show anyone around the area. Again, I DON'T KNOW IF I CAN so don't hold me to it.

Adam

Blackpowderscout,

Thomas Landing fullu booked(even tent camping). Camp Mack too far from River Ranch,(made that trip last month during bad weather, never again)!

I've got campsite reserved at River Ranch at this point,(if Diamondback finishes the boat as promised by Saturday).

I know how the "MOMMA" thing goes! If I make it at this point it will only be myself and momma!

Do you have Nextel?

Jeff

Basketcase...yeah, i'm a part of the redneck network aka nextel. give me a pm and we'll talk about this weekend. Might be going late Saturday now. Maybe ride the marsh and stay to see if the frogs are up....still unsure though. I'll probably wait till the last minute knowing me.

You ought to bring Those military guys Airboating instead of fishing I sire there would be plenty of folks that would make room in there boat for a soldier to go for a ride,What better way to say thanks for what they are doing for us.

Sniper,

It was offered exactly as you suggest. Time was very short - unusual for Outback, the sponsor. We will likely get another crack at it and I will advise.
