Frog Gigging Pole.

All the old school froggers used the fiberglass Cane poles, cut them to the length they required and mounted the gig to the tip, a bicycle handle grip, seen many of them.

We used to be able to buy these poles but I have been unable to locate them. Seems everyone has gone to 2 piece poles because of shipping. I am sure there are dealers in Florida that might have them. I am in Arcadia so could travel if any are available.

And unfortunately I did have one of these fiberglass poles (been using them for 35 years or so) and stepped on mine.

Ok that sounds like a good idea. Now where I can I buy them. I was considering that but can only find the aluminum ones. I had one that I tried in Aluminum and they aren't worth squat.

Won't ever sell mine, (my fiberglass gig pole), I treat it like gold!
Waldo Flea market up here sells them, (Waldo Florida).

Get your stuff from Gator Pro, it's what you expect at the price you expect. They used to sell the one piece but I see it's not on their website anymore. Last time I was there (Fellsmere) they had a stack of single 10-foot poles.

Regardless, I have no idea why a man would want a one piece 10-foot frog gig:unsure: I carry a rubber mallet in the truck just to collapse my 2 piece gigs after a good night so I can stow them away and not poke my eyes outo_O

Mudhole.com, or the store front/warehouse is in Oviedo Fl. They sell a kit that comes with 10ft fiberglass blank, 4 prong head and wooden dowel. Just have to buy some good epoxy(their 5 minute works great). The gigs are well worth the $75. I own 4 myself and have buddies with Many more.

I’ve always used a 14ft fiberglass cane pole from Walmart take out the last section and then cut to the length you need (I always tape them at the joints with electrical tape) put your gig head on and go gig a mess or couple sacks of frogs
