frog spit vs steelflex 2000

Sorry no one is helping. I have a fiberglass boat that had Frog Spit on it when I bought it. It was all right but not great. I put new Frog Spit resin on and what a difference. The boat would slide on grass anywhere it wasn't level. I now have to stop on a perfect level area or it will slide. I know nothing about steelflex but there are past posts that people said they love it.

I beleive waterthunder had a problem with the steelflex 2000 but i could be wrong.Pm him and ask

steelflex 2000 is ok stuff i used it but i didnt take the abuse nor is it slicker than the stuff i use now.i use owl slick made by james smith it is great stuff.they all have there pro's and con's.i like the stuff i use cause he put it on and it was cheap.then there is ground grease some say its awsome,of you can do the frog spit yourself.it seems to be good tuff.

Hey, Bondsman...
I assume you are close to the coast (if I'm thinking of the right Brooksville).... I'm guessing the Owl Slick probably ain't as durable as poly, but would you reccomend running it on a ride boat for the shallow waters off the coast... with the oyster bars, rocks, etc...??

i usualy dont run the gulf but the steel flex i had on there would peal like a hot knife through butter when i hit an oyster bar, took rock beatings o.k.poly is the way to go if you are going to do alot of gulf running.exspecialy if you run anywhere from ozela up to big bend.

If any one knows can they tell me if frog spit's base is polyester or epoxy. I believe tha steelflex is only epoxy, and I know that epoxy has much better adhesive properties. ZZ

I believe that the base is epoxy the lady that does it located in Polk County. You can take your boat to her and she will do it for you.
