Went frogging saturday night giged 174.but I'm tired of all my gigs breaking I've been using mobleys oldtimers.a friend had what he called an okeechobee gig and it worked great but could not remember where he got it.also looking for a removable type frog chute.

i have used mobley's gigs, but had the same problem, always broke where the aluminum meets at the bottom. Jeff Lasarra has some nice ones alot of my friends have scraped the mobley's for his and have had good success. I dont know the name of the one I am currently using, but I will try to find out, so far it is holding up good.

I use commercial made gigs but I couldn't see a manufacturers name on them. They look like straightened out fish hooks and are taped to the end of a black fiberglass pole. I haven't had any problems breaking them. I got both from GTO.
