A Citrus County company makes airboats, and friends, in a venture with Russians who do cleanup work in Siberia.

INVERNESS - In Florida, airboats frequently cruise through plant-covered lakes and alligator-infested swamps.

But a Citrus County company has struck a $1-million deal to build airboats designed to navigate a different sort of terrain: the icy landscape of Siberia.

Congratuloations in deed ! This brings the airboat world closer together ,now we have brothers in Siberia and Moscow !

It would be great to offer them a ride with the group if they are still in the state. Maybe explain a bit about how WE clean up after ourselves on cleanup days. Just spread the comeraderie.

Great story! Congrats to all involved. 15 years from now, it'll be interesting to see what evoloutionary twists they spin into airboats. Who knows?... there may be wharehouses of old air motors there waiting for some creative and crazy project.

Spoke to Mike and Terrie Saturday,They say the Russians will be leaving this week to go back home. I'm going to drop by to see them off and to see what type of English Mike has taught the Russians :wink:

Yes, we need to see a pictures of the first one out of the new shop.

Nice to see this come together for you all, It's been a long time coming.
