I am asking for help getting a message out to anyone who may have been planning to attend the public workshop related to our proposed enforcement protocol and educational effort for airboat sound reduction scheduled for Wednesday evening in Davie. Due to the anticipated power outages and strain on the local infrastructure as a result of the hurricane, we are canceling the workshop in Davie. We will still hold the workshop on Thursday evening in Ocala.
I would also appreciate it if anyone who cannot make the Ocala meeting but wants to provide comments on this issue would please email me their comments. We will be pressed for time to reschedule another workshop, and there is a possibility that we may be unable to hold another one in time to prepare for the next Commission meeting.
Anyone who has questions or needs additional info on this is encouraged to contact me by email. Thanks for your assistance in passing the word to those who need to be made aware of the change.
