Ft. Lauderdale Sun Sentinel Airboat Article

Good show, I love that they took it from the point of view of a Native Floridian.

This is two in a row now with a positive outlook on airboats. I wanna read more like this.

Maybe we need some ghost writers and publish a book of our own.

Truth really is stranger than fiction.

One thing I didn't mention this morning is that this article was the lead front page article in the paper, complete with picture of Sam Fritz, Mike Thurman and Alan Huffman on the front page. While I personally don't know these guys, I'm sure there are a lot of people on this site who do. In fact, Mike has a classified ad on this website for the bullet mufflers. Maybe he'll offer a discount (mention my picture in the Sun-Sentinel and get $25.00 off)......

Another thing I noted is that the article mentioned that all airboats have to fly 10-foot high flags, but the airboat pictured on the front page either has the flag down or is not flying one. And is that a beer in Sam's hand? Least Mike, the driver is drinking water.

All I can say is that I've lived in South Florida for 26+ years, and that first airboat ride I had in the 'Glades nearly 6 years ago made me kick myself in the a&* for not getting into airboating sooner. For a West (by God) Virginia boy living in this urban jungle, the 'Glades offers a welcome escape!!!!!!!!

Now, if only American Legion baseball season would end and the rains would come so I can get back out there!!!!!
