Fuel prices

That's it after we make these boats quieter let's come up with an alternative fuel. That makes more power of coarse.

Hey waterthunder you might want to look at e-85 we got lot's of it here in the mid-west and i'm sure it will trickle down to you as time goes by. I did the math and it work's out to rite at 105 octane and we can buy it here for $2.02 a gal. when were payin $2.59 for what they call premium wich is 89 octane in nebraska just thought you might find this intresting but i'm sure your'e familiar with ethanol.

might be nice to figure out what the difference is in the cars that can burn e-85 from the rest and what e-85 will do to a vehicle that wasn't designed for it. Where are you getting your e-85 in Nebraska? I don't think you can get it in Fremont anymore?

Hi dan i'm seeing it for sale across the river in ia. but i'm told were gettin it here in the summer . i'm trying to find out how i can use this fuel in my 520 cont. to save money over 100ll wich is $4.25 a gallon at my local air feild and hoping thunder might shed some light on this as i'm sure he has experience with ethanol.

Wow! We are producing a good percentage of the gas and shipping it down to you and the price went up to $1.03/liter at 4 liters/US gal. for Reg. I think we should get it for cheaper but I have decided that this 489 will do without the glide and do a direct drive with a shorter boat, Nebraska seems to be happy with his setup! I don't want to drive a barge that does 10 gph for a little fun and the guys posting Caddy DD burns and even Waterthunder's LS1's impress me. Save me a few grand to get on the water as well! There is a diamond back on ebay in my neck of the woods with first bid of 35000 US and reserve not met. I know now that since I wanted to achieve the same results for $10000.00 I am cheap and a nutcase but I am going to have to step back on the performance expectations. 8) It is higher than that Toyota!1 Better get at her! 8)

Hey, Thanks for the avgas link. I book marked that for sure. I couldn't believe the difference in $$. That will sure save me a lot. Thanks again.

From what I've been reading on the internet E85 can be used in any engine. On fuel injected engines they need to change a oxy sensor because e85 has more oxygen in it and also because of this it is more corossive so they change fuel systems. Am I wrong for thinking I can run e85 in my DD 500 caddy with no problems? I am already running E10 in it.

Thunder or Felber can you shed some light on the E85 questions?

Thanks,

Dan
