Gator Tags?

Anybody get their tags yet? I got the license in the mail a couple weeks ago, but still have'nt received the tags yet.....

"We were not able to print licenses until last Friday (database problem). The license / tag packages should go out this week"

From Steve Stiegler of alligator management.

I heard yesterday they are refunding anyone who rec'd over 10 permits the money back for the additional permits. They will go back out for auction this time.....

I did not get my packet in the mail yet either, I am sure they are busy since they sold all of the permits in the first day.

I just look at my old tag info from last year and it was dated July 12 from the Post Office So it should be here soon.

I got mine today, but i only was able to get one set when they went on sale before the computer system locked me out.

I spoke with a buddy of mine that also got his tags today but only one set of three. What's up with that!!!!!!!!

If y'all used a credit card to make your payment, call the credit card company first thing in the morning and put the amount of your tag transaction "in dispute". That way if the State fails to send you the rest of your tags, you'll be able to get your money back without a hassle.

I'm sure that they are, but if I had my pick of tags to get I would of like to have gotten my Hernando County tag first. I was just checking to see if anyone else had and the same thing happen of if they got all of their tags.
What did you get Gator?

Got the lic & two tags. The earlier they send out the tags the greater chance the tags have of getting lost. (Every year, a # of calls come in for lost tags & locked tags.......) The best time would be to send them out two weeks before season.

Well i thought the computer system had bumped me off for my second set of tags when i went for them, but ended up getting the second set i applied for yesterday. That was a nice suprise. Man i hope they get those computer system bugs worked out before next season...... :D

Can anyone tell me who the closest processor is to palm bay, and how are you guy's cooling down your gators after you get them? If your out hunting, how long do you have before you need to get them iced down. I don't think i can fit a gator in my 150qt. offshore cooler.

I use Froelich's Gator Farm in Christmas on SR50.

They are directly across from Gator Jungle.

As far as keeping the gators cool, after you harvest them, place them on thier backs so as they cool, the body heat moves through the guts & nt the meat.

Once back @ the ramp, place a tarp in the back of the truck, place the gators on thier backs & if after hours go to Wal-mart & grab (2) two, (40) forty pound backs of ice. Ice gators down & cover with the remaining tarp.

"DO NOT" place gator on bare floor of truck bed!!!

The heat of the muffler & cat converter will cause major skin slippage in a short amount of time & ruin both the hide & the meat.

Place a sheet of plywood on the floor of the bed.

Good Luck!!!
