Gators

There is some nice gators in Georgia. In most of the areas I hunted up there, a skiff would be much better than an airboat as they have many swamps full of trees vs our open rivers & lakes.
may go back this year to kill a few of the nice ones I saw. I'll be up there ths month riding with my airboat.

Woodswoman - I am just impressed that you are involved in harpooning gators. Too few country gals around that are interested in enjoying the outdoors and hunting. Especially something like gator hunting.

I have the harpoon, recently acquired, but haven't used it. I've never been gator hunting either, but there is always the chance...
Only thing I've stuck is frogs...

Anyone down south seen Crocadiles in the Everglades yet?

We hear a drift of this every now & then & wonder if true or just rumor mill gas

I remember when I was a really young kid...maybe 6 or 7, my dad took me down south somewhere. It wasn't the everglades but it was a lake down there...anyways, we saw several crocodiles that day. I remember how he showed me the difference in the way they looked from gators. I never saw any more since but I did see a thing on tv about the american crocodile not to long ago. There aren't too many left according to the show.
