Get my Truck Painted.

bentonquick

Well-known member
Just wondering if any of my fellow Southern Airboat members out there know of a good place to have my truck painted. I live in the Lakeland Fl. area . I have had the truck sense 2002. I bought it new. I have taken pretty good care of it. ( It has been a good truck). I priced a new Ford, Chev and Dodge . $65K - $85K to replace mine. I decided to paint this one. I will travel from my area to get a good paint job at a fair price. Thanks bentonquick.

Thanks Glades Cat. I am still deciding what to do with my rudders about getting them wrapped. The company over here wants almost $800.00 to wrap them.

. . . It is a good paint protector and the car does not get dirty as quickly.

All joking aside, what we need here is something for our boats so they don't get wet.

Say what you must about ceramic coating but..... I had my black Chevrolet 2500 done 3 months ago, have never had to wash it. The rain does it for me. Pretty good stuff.

It is good to hear that you've had such an experience. It is definitely worthy of note. :thumbleft:
Good stuff is good stuff, regardless of subject matter involved. Gathering and sharing unknown to us information is largely why we are here.

My comment was actually generated in reaction to what I initially perceived as spam by an inexperienced internet troll.
I have a couple canned graphics for such people that then get deleted with the spam, but it gives them incentive to stop doing that here.
In this case, because he did not include a link in his post, I was inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt about being a spammer.
It seemed possible (although highly unlikely on first post) that maybe he was just a new guy shilling for a product he liked.

However, I still found it quite humorous that he started with admitting "I have never painted my car . . ." but did not hesitate to follow with his inexperienced advise ". . . I would advise you to use a ceramic car coating ". That has internet troll all over it.

You will note that he came back and edited that post AFTER THE FACT, to include the link he forgot when he initially posted.
He exposed himself, nobody here even needed to. :laughing3:

Had he been more experienced and not forgot the link, these posts wouldn't even be here.
