Ok, so gettin down to the nitty-gritty... I ordered a holley 650 brawler, '70 472 cad bored 30 over, currently has a 130 RV cam in it. 1.73/1 gearbox, 3 blade 78" falcon. I'd really like to put in a good cam, but don't know which one to get. I'm highly reluctant to ask cad company as the carb they sent me was trash and probably caused my last engine failure...any suggestions? Thanks in advance

No, I don't. All I currently know is that the one I have is designed for a DD airboat to create power at the lower end as I could previously only spin the engine 2800 rpms. I tried looking up cams in the CAD company catalog, and at least one of them said something about some cams require different size pushrods, etc

Get in touch with Oregon cam service, send them a stock 500 cam, have them grind it to 268° intake 268° exhaust, .454" lift, this will be perfect for what you are doing, if they can advance it by about 12° even better.

Gettin excited! Engine stand is built, rigging almost done, new gas tank, radiator, foot petal, rudders, steering stick, bilge pumps, etc. Almost ready to get er painted. Can't wait til I get some pics I'm allowed to post!
