Ok this weekend at the lake cleanup Danny Brantly and a few others stood up and was talking about this young lady who is highly into airboats. Not too long ago she was in a very bad car accident and was paralyzed from the waist down. From what I understand she had an airboat that was in pretty bad shape and she took it over to Danny to get him to do some work on it. When Danny looked at it, he said there is no way this thing is going back into the water.
So they have since found an airboat for sale but there are some things they must do for it to make it able for her to drive such as hand steering.
They took up a donation at the lake cleanup but I thought I would take it a little farther. I also know there have been a few things that have been asked for donations and people have just donated in the last couple of weeks. I am not asking for alot but I would like to be able to donate something for this young lady to be able to go out and airboat again. I am going to take responsibility for this one and not have Rick worry about it. If you want to donate please private message me and I will send you my paypal name or my address if you want to send something.
I am only going to take donations from today until Friday night so I can personally hand the money to Danny at the FAA meeting Saturday. Please do not feel obligated to donate.

OK I won't feel obligated ...but still need your paypal address if you want money. If everyone just gave 10 bucks it would make a differnce for her and what is ten bucks compared to that. COUNT ME IN.

All right, I have received money from 3 people. This is a big group and like country said, if everyone would just send $10 that would be great.
 
I'm in too. Is this person a member of SA? If not will she become one? I'd like to see her boat when it's done and here about some of the adventures she has with it.

No she is not a member of SA but she is a member of KRVSA and an avid airboater. I just thought I would come here and ask for help because they need about $6000 and they got around $1800 in donations on Saturday. This is a big group from all over and again, I thought I would ask. But I am sure we can arrange to see the boat and she may become a member of southernairboat.com in the future.

If you are registered with paypal just go in and log on and enter my email address above as the person you are sending money. If you are not registered go check it out and get registered. It is free and easy.

Awesome, it would be great to meet you finally. We have our club meeting Wednesday night out there at the club house on Sweetwater canal. Just PM me and we will get together.
 
Id love to jump out and join up again, been a lot of years since I was a member, how bout yall grab me an app while at the meeting. Its a bit too quick for me to do anything Wed night after flying near 24 hours, but Ill be around Thursday and Friday. Maybe you n Chris could do lunch up on Wickham at that BBQ joint Friday?? Ill buy. Love my pig !

I think its great that there are some folks that will help out in a pinch like this. Dakota, maybe you ought to put your address out so if theres folks that don't know about paypal, they could drop it in the mail, it might be alittle hassel but you could forward it after the fact. They could make it out to you or cash and put donation at the bottom or something. This might be why your not getting alot of donations , is because everyone doesn't use paypal. Then they won't have an excuse ( he-he-he ), just kidding. But it would open some other options for those who want and can donate. Just a thought. Can you send me a PM so I know how to send it through Paypal? I use paypal but have never sent money without an invoice. You might have to send me your address.
 
All right, right now we have a little over $200 and some coming on the mail. Keep this coming. I will give him what I have on Saturday but I can get him the other. Let's go. There is alot of people out there and if we all gave just $10 it would make a big difference. Thanks to all who have donated so far.
