glades info

live in north fl,looking to come down and ride the glades, never been there before looking for info on the best place to ride and spend the weekend.

if you head out from holiday park, take the trail to the north that goes by NoTell Motel and then to crossroads, stay off the holiday trail until the water comes back. just west of the new river canal before you get to turtle head it is still very dry.

if you go off the alley do not try the north side yet, a friend of mine had his street legal jeep out with some 4 wheelers at a few of the camps last weekend. The south side is hit or miss depending where you are lots of rocks still showing especially near the heads.

last weekend there was mud in the main "S" trail from mm35.

Sounds like i will wait until gator season is over ,Give the water a chance to come back up some.Don't what my first trip to the glades to be a bad one,Thanks for the info.

Good call Slider,

The glades are awesome when there a little water down there.
Right now, it may be way more trouble than it's worth.
