I was looking at the boat in above in the classifieds and was wondering, with the rigging that high, and you sit so high up, wouldn't that keep you from being able to turn very sharp?

Anybody who's driven one of these, how the heck do you keep from falling out of the seat when you turn sharp?

I'm sure it's not as bad as it seems, but dang!

I own one, never fallen out and can turn with best of them. just somthing that makes it easier to see over the grass.

I guess you just get used to it....

Ever take it in deeper water?

High seats used to be the norm when most folks frogged too. Now days ya still see a boat rigged just for frogging here and there but most are just ride boats now days.

Scotty, I gotta tell ya that high riggin is sexy as hell, but by the time I got my old butt down outa that seat that ol' frog woulda
done had babies .....

The buddies I run with that have deck overs have no problems running deep water. And they are evil in the woods.

Thats the first time I have heard them described as "evil".....but the do get the job done! Just wondering how you airboaters with them big ol blue water boats rigged so low see over the sides???

You guys scare me. Red, I thought your seats were too high for my comfort level, but that boat is something else. I like to sit in the boat. Then again I don't have any tall grass to go through on the river. Do those boats ever tip over?

Red, could you PM me on where to get a hull like yours? My current hull is junk but the motor is sweet. I'd like to upgrade my hull this winter to something with higher sides.

You can get a nice one from Freedom Craft. They build a fine Kennedy style hull.

I really like how my boat rides and handles, although it is very heavy.

You will find that each area has a different boat. Like my area is 90% aluminum, polymer bottoms and 14ft and under you don't see many big or fiberglass hulls, they also have medium height seats. Lake Kissimmee area has 90% fiberglass less polymer boats and medium seats. A little more south is a lot of Palm Beach style and way south around Big O is 90% deck over with real high seats. You will find each boat will fits the needs of it's local environment.
