GM has sold out!

Guess what,

Even our very own GM company has sold out to the Phillipines. Today I wanted to get some tech help, and they no longer list the tech number.....you have to call a support center from the Phillipines, and try to convince a Phillipino what is wrong with your engine. Then you get a case number, then someone will call you back, what a bunch of BS. Don't even think about getting help from the dealer once they find out you have an engine in an airboat......or you didn't buy it from them.

ya that sucks I learned fast it is hard to find help with anything down here and god forbid if it is not original stock application. you need to find a good mechanic that works on the side to help you out

Did they give you any idea what could be causing the problem? From what you told me it doesn't sound good.

Hey Rich is it a tech question I would be glad to help you out if I can! If it's an issue with your GM motor I'm tight with a few guy's at GM and may be able to help you.

lost oil pressure at idle(0))....at 3200RPM's got 25lbs of pressure......boat ran great all day long and still does??

I am no professional like Waterthunder but in my past experiences with 4x4 engines is that the ones that didn't have oil pressure at idle but had oil pressure when you reved it up where motors that had wore out main bearings. even the 25 psi at 3200 seems a tad low, I personally would like to see 35 or more at 3200 rpm. I don't know if the oil pump itself can be out of tolerence to the point where it could cause a reading as you describe but I guess anything is possible. If it were my motor I would make sure the gauge is good then I would drop the pan and plastigauge the main bearings to see where they are at.

Hey guys my family got in the auto business in 1912 selling Fords, in 1929 we purchased a Chevrolet store and in the late 80's a Honda. If you will pm me a name, contact number etc. I will have my Service Manager or Shop Foreman give a call and see what they can do. Just to make you feel better we have the same SPAC case system.

And by the way, we don't care what application the motor is used for, we fix mine here, from airboats to rockcrawlers.

Fowbish, nice to see you posting again.

A few months back I called American Express about something on my statement.
The man that answered had a distinct accent so I asked him, "Are you in India ?"

He said, "Yes sir, may I help you ?"

I said, "Yes, please transfer me to Phoenix, in the United States."

He said, "Sir, I sure I can help you."

I said, "I'm sure you can, but I prefer to discuss my finances with an American. Please transfer me to Phoenix."

He transferred my call, I spoke with a fine young lady that had a distinctly AMERICAN accent, she took care of my problem very efficiently, and then I told her that I wanted her to tell her supervisors for me that I resent being transferred off -shore ..... that we need the jobs here. She said that she would.

We don't have to take this crap. The same thing should work with GM. Tell em you want to talk to someone in tech in Detroit, U.S.A.

rich i belive my new boat has the same engine heck im relieved to you know what they say about a blind squrel :D
