Gonna See What GoldHunter Can Do With This.

Cajun

Well-known member
Picked up this little hull and trailer, so instead of using the jon boat goldhunter is gonna work his magic on this. Its about 10' long 6' wide at the back and 4' wide at the front. It has a pancake cage out of chrome molly (thats what I was told ).I was gonna go ahead and rework the hull and paint it but I'm gonna wait till Goldhunter gets thru and make sure I like the hull before I put too much into it. Gonna drag it across the state tomorrow to Goldhunters place and leave it with him. Just thought I would post a couple of before pics. Later, Cajun

Now thats a good find. Nice little boat. I bet she will run a lot better than the jon boat.

don't know about that blue color if it stays here to long everything seems to get olive drab or tan

see john and you didn't believe me when I said I was going to have a parking problem soon

see you in the morning Cajun

He-He-He- When its all said and done, you'll be able to pick that little stump jumper out of a crowd. I already have it narrowed down to 2 colors, but how in the %$%^& do you get the old paint off the cage to repaint? Sand-blast? If my powder coater can get a color close to what I want I may just let him do the repaint. Does it have to be stripped to powder coat it???Man I am gonna owe Gold big time. AND I KNOW HE IS GONNA MAKE IT LOOK RIGHT< FOR ALL YA"LL TO SEE!!!!!LOL

Thats a nice little boat. what engine and prop are you going with? do you have any more pics of your reduction drive? I'm still trying to find parts for my reduction think I have found ever thing to make one just more then I want to spend. Now get gold to work so we can see this thing done :D

cajun ,

the best thing would be to strip it down to bare metal with a sand or bead blaster then re-coat it for new powder coat . we will look at it tomorrow

I'll let Gold do some more posting pics of the parts once it gets to his place. I'm gonna depend on a bunch of ya'll to keep pressure on him to getter dun, winter tides will be here before ya know it. Plus I still have alot to do to it after he gets thru. But he will be the first to put it to the test. :D

well Cajun dropped here off :D looks like a really nice little boat light weight chrome molley rigging .

he wanted to know if I was starting a boat dealer ship over here or what

I know exactly what you mean, and my wife reminds me of that often. That is sure to be a fun ride.

Hey Gold, I ain't ready to make that trip again that quick. Take your time, I'll be back Mon. LOL, No Gold has to take it out a couple of times and break it, I mean break it in. I'll do the cosmedic stuff later when I get it back here.I have faith in Gold, he'll getter dun and do it right, or I wouldn't have hauled it from one coast to the other. Gold will be dreaming ( nightmares) about this little package. LOL Thanx, Cajun

I broke down Cajun's engine today and bead blasted all the parts (they needed it  ) I just quit and now realized I forgot to blast the exhaust so I'll hit that tomorrow. I also forgot to take before picture around around 8 when I started blasting I tried but my camera and the light they just aren't coming out , sorry

Actual no....... but in my defense I waiting on parts in the mail witch is out of my control

I broke it down , cleaned it in the blasting cabinet painted everything have rings, bearings, gaskets all on the way but they did not show up in todays mail so probably be here tomorrow or at latest Monday then be next week on the elec start system . sorry I have been bad on pictures so far will try to find a few minutes to get some posted later

sorry guys have been distracted and not had a chance t post pictures figured I would at least start here with the prop , this is how Cajun drop it off but going to try to post pictures of the whole rig up close later for him to.

This is Cajun's 66.5" diameter four blade wrap drive prop he is using on his mini powered by a two stroke Rotax engine and a 2.58:1 gear reduction unit

will try to get some of all the engine apart when I get back form the show tomorrow or Sunday (by then hopefully the part will be in an I can post the engine together and mounted also)

Ok sorry but I missed doing the pictures when took it apart ,you didn't want to see them any way they where nasty  and forgot to get some after bead blasting well during the day time when you could see them so I figured I should at least post some of the engine apart an painted up as I'm waiting for the bearings to arrive. also have a few different angles of cajun's boat and seat stand/cage set up this is a solid fiberglass boat except for the transom and the boat is light if I get a chance after mounting the motor I will try to hang the whole boat cage and motor to get a total weight.

Cajun,
Sorry Forgot to take a picture of the exhaust but it looks about like the Y pipe does

Ok here go the pictures:
