Went down to meet up with MYDIXEWRECKED in lauderdale to nite and picked up my new blades :headbang: Guna put them on and try to get them adjusted close in the yard and then hit the river tommorow after noon or sunday. dixie it was a pleasure meeting you and your friends,I hope to make it down there and ride with you soon. I`ll let ya`ll know how the boat runs after the test ride :D
 
I just got done putting the blades on,I have a buick 455,2.37 rotator box and now a 78 inch s blade from sensenich,all on a 14 x 7.6 combee hull. I set the pitch at the 2 mark and found the one with the most pitch and set the rest to match.Fired it uup and did a wfo test and to my surprise It turned it 5100 rpm, :shock: Shut it down and added pitch to the three mark and evened them up as described above,turned out to be 19 degrees at the tip.Fired it up and hit 4600 on the trailer :D My target was recomended to be 4600 - 4800,When the wind calms down this evening I`m heading out to try it and will post how it does against my psr blades.
 
i am glad you posted this i was wondering which way to go, add a 3rd superwide blade or go R so i guess i will add another blade. :thumbleft:
 
Bonds,I had it choked down to 4500 but after the new cam and degreeing it would max out at 5000 and it pushed better. What gear are you running? wheres your blades pitched at?
 
Hey Joe, what exactly did you go from a 3 blade falcon to a 2 blade super wide? Just trying to get this post to be a good reference point for future question. Can't wait to get my R blades this week coming.

i am sick and half tired maybe i pulled the 3 blade thing out of my a$$.is yours a 2 blade joe or 3 blade.sorry for confusing everything. :?
 
THREE BLADE , THATS WHAT DIXIE WRECKED HAD ! I THINK ! JOES GOT A STRONG MOTOR TO TURN THAT HARD WITH A 238 !HE WILL BE HAPPY !
 
3 blade psr to three blade S,I wish I could give you guys a good comparison but not for a while now :? Went to a trail I ran with the psr`s last week,it was a lot dyer and STICKY!! Broke a bottom jack got stuck,got out and had to run it real hard to get back to the water,developed a miss went home and found I melted the tip out of a plug and I think it got hung up in the exhaust valve and bent it,I hope. Every time that valve goes up and down it squeeks :cry: DONT USE AC DELCO PLUGS, I gota get one of you guys to get me the number of the ngk`s felber was talking about.I tried the search and had no luck.Oh well thats airboating :lol: When its stuck I run it like I stole it :D My fault.Should be back up with in Two weeks and will test it again,we need some rain or the black mud is gunna get bad. The GOOD news is a 0540 boat went the way I was going,didn`t get as far and turned around,Headers glowing cherry red :lol: :lol: I made it out on 7 cyls and it took all he had to get it out with all his :P

The number fatboy0054 listed is the same one Filber told me to run in my GM aluminum Fast Burn heads. The stock number on the box is 4091 that is the number the guys needed to order them. I ordered them from Advance Auto. They had them the next day at 7 am and they were HALF as much as they are in the Jegs book :D

How do you tell by looking at them if they are to hot?

HMGM123,what do you mean wich psr blades :dontknow: Far as I know whirl wind only makes One psr blade.Its a power shift replacement.Go to there web site and you can see pics of em. It was a 78 inch. fatboy and smuggler thanks for those numbers I`l be getting them before I put it back together 8) I`m getting ready to tear it down, if anybodys interested I`ll let ya know how bad it is :?
 
they make a psr for the signature,falcon,and sirrius and maybe maximus dont know for sure on the maximus.
 
I just checked whirlwinds site and as far as i can tell they only offer 1 style psr. It`s a replacement for the original power shift,I beleive it was the signiture series?
 
Tore it down,all I can see is 1 bent intake valve on the cyl that got hot,and the head gasket was seeping.By that I mean there was barely a trace of water when I took off the intake and it was only down a quart on coolant.Guna drop em off tommorow and have em leak checked and the valve fixed. Hopefully I can make the clean up ride :?
