GPU H.P. question

I need a little help from the A/C guys, since I don't now that much about them. A buddy of mine just bought a deckover with a 220 gpu with 520 jugs and dual mags. the guy he bought it from does not know how much HP the motor has. Any help would be appreciated.

with 520 jugs I think that is supposed to be around 265 but not sure

I saw the post and thought someone had convinced you to get rid of that caddy

There are many variables to how much power it is making, compression, cam, ignition setup. With a standard gpu cam and stock compression 520 pistons it's gonna be around 270-285hp. This can be increased with things as a different cam, higher compression, etc. These are usually good running setups, what does it have for a prop on it?

I have the same set-up with alot of upgrades,I'm right at 310 hp or more.I would agree with Larry, your motor not knowing how it was built is probably 270-285.
