Was out at our air boat meeting tonight and we had a fwc officer there and he was talking about the H I N # hull Identification number should be on the right rear of the boat above the water line stamped in or rivited in they are checking them around here and also in this area you have to have a orange flag just to let every one know.

That wasn't me about the flag that was cchardt but no worries should be able to get you one for oh so around a hundred bucks. LOL oh yeah dont buy a bike flag atwalmart it wont cut it. 10" x 12" 10' above bottom of boat.

Make one out of an old fiberglass cb antenna and oarnge, (mesh) safety vest like I did. Don't buy Cntry's $100.00 one!

I like moods flag it glows in the dark and now that halloween is over you should be able to find some on clearance. basket you and cntry should know what he used.
 
Cntry - You are darn right I would not admit to that! Those were genuine glow-in-the-dark Halloween THONG panties! And guess what? 10 x 12 was the measurement on them when they were stretched out from the wind of being underway.

On the day Laura and I were buying a flag at walmart, they were sold out. They had no orange cloth in the fabric dept either... but those orange thongs and some creative thinking got us thru several outings. :D

The sad part is... On a trip up to Loughman the other day, it was windy and they got blown back on the hot flex pipe that goes out the top of the cage. Dangit. The crotch melted out. Then... they REALLY were scary!!! :roll:

We bought a safety vest to make a new flag.

Can I engrave the HIN into the hull and be OK?
 
hey red dwarf i would think that is ok cause hoffman's airboats have the numbers burned into the gunnel.
