I have been dealing with Doug and Wade at Hamant airboats. ( airboatsinc.com ) they have been the best help imaginable. I had/have a problem with my boat, it just wouldn't run the hill that well and I thought that it was the hull or the poly. but wasn't sure so these guys come to my house all the way from Melbourne to Orlando and pick it up then ran it and agreed that it wasn't satisfactory for one of there boats. So they changed poly trying to diagnose the problem and delivered it back. I still couldn't tell much difference so they came back to my house and got the boat did alot of other things to the boat to cover there end and when we finally figured out that it was motor not producing the correct amount of horsepower, they took it to the builder and helped correct the problem with the boat. I can't say enough about these guys if you want customer service they are bar none the best I have ever heard of, and there quality is amazing! Just thought I should tell everyone the great experence that I have had with these guys I will never by another boat or part for a boat unless it is through them. sounds like my experience with the jurnigans minus all the problems you had :D :D Hey Bo do you need to borrow my boat this weekend I am probably gonna be working. That way yall can ride after the show
 
Well hes great friends with Alumitec 520 and thats good enough for me never met ,but you would never know that :D
 
i have to admit , i havent seen anyone else step up to the plate as good as these fellas in along time. not saying it doesnt happen but it has been awhile. keep it up fellas ,if i do it all over again someday it would be through them. :wav:
 
I have to agree, Hamant built me a 15ft hull earlier this year and I was very impressed. They take the time to get it right. I am so happy with it I just gave them a deposit to start on another one for me. If you are thinking about having a boat built, I suggest that you talk to Doug and Wade Hamant before you make your decision.
 
alumatec an diamondback are also great folks im glad we have so many to choose from in this state competetion has realy made all airboats better IMO i can remember the days when you didnt have as many choice's and customer service and the timely maner you recieved a product really suffered.
 
the thing that I really like about Hamant is that wade builds the rigging and Doug builds the hull's they don't hire alot of people to do there work for them they work on one boat at a time and knock it out. They know every boat is built exactly the way they want it built
 
I HAVE OWNED 7 DIFFERENT AIRBOATS OVER A 40 YEAR SPAN AND NEVER HAD EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED. I DECIDED SINCE I WAS ENTERING MY SECOND CHILDHOOD, I WAS GOING TO HAVE A NEW AIRBOAT BUILT EXACTLY THE WAY I WANTED. I VISITED ALL OF THE SHOPS AND SAW THAT THERE WERE A LOT OF QUALITY AIRBOATS BEING BUILT AND 1 OR 2 THAT I DIDN'T CARE FOR I DECIDED TO HAVE HAMANT BUILD MY NEW BOAT WITH A WATERTHUNDER MOTOR AND I AM VERY HAPPY THAT I DID. THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE BY BOTH OF THESE COMPANYS IS TOP NOTCH. I THANK THE HAMANTS AND DAVE FOR MAKING AN OLD MAN HAPPY.

What kind of hull (ultralite or reg) and what size did go with?
 
hmgm123 I WENT WITH A 14 X 8 REG, WITH 26" SIDES AND SIDE STORAGE BOXES. MY WIFE AND I USE THIS BOAT FOR MULTIPLE PURPOSES, BASS, SHELLCRACKER, SPECK FISHING AND ALSO PLEASURE RIDING. IT HAS THE 450 HP LS1 AND HAS GONE EVRYWHERE I WANTED IT TO GO SO FAR I AM CAREFUL WHERE I DO GO BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW IF YOU KEEP PUSHING THE ENVELOPE IT WILL GET STUCK. MY DAYS OF BEING WILD AND ROUGH ON AN AIRBOAT ARE OVER.
 
I spoke with Wade Hamant this morning. I stopped by the shop to pick up a prop. I mentioned the FLT 401 thread to Wade and asked him if he has heard about the Bud Marquis story. He told me that he had not. I was in a hurry to get to the show today, so I gave him the short version. He told me to wait a minute and came out of the shop with a brand new set of 4ft airfoil rudders to donate to the auction for Bud.

I just wanted to say Thank You to Wade and Hamant airboats.
