Hamant hulls

rich i know both doug and wade and there work is second to none you should visit there shop and see there work first hand it is impressive also talk to cchardt he has one of there boats.

Doug and Wade deliver 1st class craftmanship in a hull that not only looks good but performs. If you want a deckover look no further.

I've heard nothing but good things about Hammant.

My next boat (should I ever finish this one) is most likely to be a Hammant.

I know CChardt has a Hammant, hopefully he will add his input here.

My current hull is a Hamant 14x7 1/2

I was @ the shop a couple of weeks ago picking up some parts & they were in the process of building (2) two of the deckover hulls.

If I wasn't guiding & needed the storage, I would have placed an order for one of those hulls that day.

Cold eh..... Yup another decked over 383. Probally one of those waterthunder engines. All camoed out. I have a Diamonback decked over currently with a 383 and it is a mean boat, but since I came from a grass boat making that transition over to a deep water boat with trix in it has not been easy. So now I need 2 boats....(if I can convince the wife). I'll probally sell the Diamondback next yr. Any other feedback?

Anyone here running one of the Hamant regularly in salt water?
If so, PM me please.

Does anyone know what alloy they are building the hull with?

Lastly, is it a step style hull or a palm beach hull (slider style)?

I have only had mine for 6 or 8 months and I had a few fiber glass boats and this one rides and handles better than the fiber glass

this thing rides and handles like a caddillac my brother in law would not get back on a air boat af he sank one in the middle of the lake in the dead of winter at 3:00 am and no other boats around they has to swim for 2 1/2 hours to get to land and he said the he would never get on one again!!!!! well we got him on it and now he is in love with how my boat rides and handles in deep water we went across that 4 times the other weekend

I have a 14 x 7.5 with 24" sides and I would not get another kind after having this one (I think they use .125 )

Thats right, the only way im goin out is in a hamant hull!!!!!.......lol
I love em I just cant afford one.

Have run a Hammat hull (16x8) since 1998. Heavy boat and takes a beating! Nice dry ride and stable.
As many of you know how heavy my boat is............the trail reamer or air barge............

Wow ! My first post and I get to recommend someone !

Doug has been at it for a LOT of years, he has it about right. Go see him and the shop and whatch how he does it, you won't be wasting your time. You won't be wasting your money buying one from Doug either! It is indeed rare Doug is called on to stand behind his work, there just hasn't been much call for it. He gets it right the first time. Nuff said.

Whitebear, welcome to the website! Very nice to have ya ..... and that's a real good 'first post'. We love to have positive people on here.

Whitebear - Like that post too. And that last statement could be used for a advertisement by someone.

"He gets it right the first time. Nuff said."

Wish that was true with everyone.

Anyhow, Welcome aboard.

The best thing is that they build the whole boat by hand every piece not one boat is the same, all the metal works and hull are all made form scratch. Not put on a jig and welded together like on a assembly line.

Being overseas right now, I can't just stop in Doug's shop, so I emailed him tonight asking for prices on new hull and rudders. I guess I have been without a boat long enough. Time to build YET-another one hahahahah. Well, one day is too long but yeh its time !
