Hammant quality and detail!

I have put 4or 5 motors on existing Hammant hulls this year. And I must admit from what I have seen of the mass produced boats their stuff has been the most square and plumb. I have done two boats recently that were built by another manufacture and their motors have been off center as much as 2 inches. I had one rigging the front of the motor was 1 1/2 to the right and the rear was to the left by almost 2 inches. When the owner drove the boat after I removed his old SBC motor and installed an Aluminum LS. He said, man the boat runs a hundred times better now it even goes straight. I told him going straighter has nothing to do with the new motor it goes straight now because everything is square. It's all in the details! I know several people who strive to get their stuff dead on and it always shows!

I've seen posts like this before and it has made me think (maybe not a good thing).

For a high hp carmotor, why not set the engine a little off-center to offset the torque roll?

Just curious.

Trust me I have tried all of that. Off setting the motor doesn't work the best! I have rigged them off center up to 6''!
