has anyone tried a cummins 4bt diesel

this should be a killer motor, in stock form it makes almost 300lbs of tq, and around 150 hp, modified versions make upwards of 400hp and 700 lbs of tq, and they dont spin past 4000rpms, just thought i would put it out there, i dont know how much they weigh, that maybe a downfall.

well i went digging, turns out the 4bt weighs 700lbs, a little on the heavy side

Just a tid bit to heavy for me but you might be on to some thing if you can cut 300 lbs

thanks for the reply, the cadillac 500 weigh close to 700lbs, the fuel economy of the diesel would be awsome, no need for a gear box, the motor is also bulletproof and it will lay black smoke like a freight train.

Some times it's just best to say nothing. If I said something, then alot more folks would thing I am Dumb a$$. Just don't know, but wanted to take a look.

One of the motor heads will chime in and they will have some down to earth info. But you may be right, Wt may be the big thing.
