JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS USED IT ? MY BUDDY JUST BOUGHT SOME AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WOULD PERFORM BETTER ON THE GROUND BECAUSE IT IS SLICKER THAN THE RECYCLED BLACK OR GRAY. THEY SAID IT IS NOTHING LIKE THE OLD WHITE THAT GETS BRITTLE AND CRACKS.
 
I TALKED TO MY POLYMER SUPPLIER AND UMV HAS BEEN AROUND ITS COMING MORE AVAILABLE IN WHITE ITS BEEN IN DARK GREY FOR AWHILE
ITS ABOUT 4.OO MORE A LF THEN THE NORMAL HD POLYMER
AND I WHY PEOPLE SAYS ONES BETTER THEN THE OTHER I DONT NO THE OLD WHITE WAS GOOD AND STILL AROUND JUST MORE BRITLE ALL POLYMER GIVES DRAG NO MATTER HOW TIGHT ITS ON AND ITS MORE TO PERTECT THE BOAT THEN USING TO RUN DRY FROG SPIT AND STEEL FLEX IS TWICE AS SLEEPERY THEN POLY IF I NEW THAT I HAD A BULLET PROOF BOAT ID USE FROG SPIT
 
all polymer creates drag .but if you lay it flat and tight it will create less of a drag than if it can stretch when it gets hot.i was just wondering if anyone has use the new white polymer.i was told it is slicker than the black or the gray.when we do polymer it needs to be sun baked form morning till about noon .then put on 4x4 or 4x5 pattern.
 
It is my opinion that the white is much more slicker than black or gray. I would love to have a sheet of the old white poly. The white I had on one boat lasted over 10yrs.
 
hmgm123 i never used it but no people that has used the white they allllll say it sucks it britle u had it last 10yrs u must of no had no running time on the boat all the people i talk to says maybe 2yrs it jsut cant take abuse from what i hear
i also do belive the smaller the pattern the tighter u can get it but thats just that many more holes in the hull i most often set my polymer on 6x6 sq's and have been told by many they set them as far as 8x8 sq's
 
No it was one sheet all the way down the bottom and that boat had a crap load of hours mostly on the hill. Now that is my experience first hand!!Not second hand from somebody else.
 
The white I ran lasted 2 1/2 years the next was the same a 2 1/2 years . Then put black it has been on 12 years. Did not notice that much difference in white or black. The white we could polish with a tourch. The black or gray no.
