headsets on an airboat

has anybody have a trick on cleaning out alot of the white noise with thier
intercom system on an airboat.mine seams to pick up evrything even with the squelch up.

I don't know what kind of system you're using but when I was on armored vehicles we had to keep our intercom off of VOX (Voice activated setting) or else we had a lot of background noise. The only thing I knew was to keep it on push-to-talk. Not sure if your setup allows you to do that or even if you'd want to.

a ptt feature would be nice ,cause i would not give the button to my
mother-in-law.i used this setup flying i have two nice headphones
and two average but with the upgraded mic. but no wind guards only
soft mic covers.

I agree use the push to talk also go to the nearest airport with a pilot shop and get the foam wind guard or you can order it from sportys pilot shop http://www.sportys.com its about the cheepest thing having to do with airplanes you can buy

How do you connect the headsets together? I have started to collect parts for a set. I have a Soft Comm ATC-2 box with two ports for mic’s and head phone’s each. I have a Soft Comm headset. I should be able to add a 9 volt battery to the control box and plug in the headsets, I think. Any other input? Or should I try something else?
