HELP!!! NEED A PHOTO QUICK!!!!

Well-known member
I've been asked to do another painting for the Robert Marquis fund, but this time we are going to TRY and do some litho prints as well to sell, but time is of the essence! I need a photo of an airboat similar to Buds with two people in it, driving away on a 3/4 view.... I don't need the boat, I just need the position of the people! I wish I had time to go through all the galleries myself, but like I said... time is my enemy at the moment... I have the rest of the painting about done, but I need to put Bud and his friend in it yet, and I seriously need help... I want to get it to the lithographers within the next day or two if possible. We are trying to get this done for the Recognition Ceremony on Dec. 3rd. So if anybody knows of a picture that even MIGHT be what I'm looking for PLEAASEEE post it!
Thanks Guys!!! :D

Any time someone ask's about inserting pictures in the forum, this is the advice I give...

The picture you want to post needs to be on the internet and you need to know it's address. Since you're already registered w/this site, you can upload the pics from your hard drive to your member gallery in "Pictures & Wallpapers".

After that, pull the picture up in your browser & determine it's address. With most browsers you can move your mouse over the pic & click the right button, one of the options will be "properties". After selecting "properties" you should see a little window with the picture's internet address.

Now post a message in the forum & wherever you want the picture to show up in your post, you insert the pic's internet address surrounded by the Img brackets.

The typical internet address for the pic would be something like: http://www.southernairboat.com/photopos ... CF5955.JPG
So when I take that address & surround with
like this:
Code:
DSCF5955.JPG

This is what will be displayed in the forum:

Also, don't forget that everyone can preview & edit their own posts if it doesn't work as desired.

Hope this helps.

I don't get it... I must be completely retarded or something.... I've done it word for word by Ricks instructions and it looks like its supposed to, but it just doesn't come up! I can tear a car apart all the way down to the frame and put it back together and have no "extra" parts, but for the life of me I can't put a picture on this website....

(I haven't figured out how to use the different colors and quote stuff either to be honest.... )

I think you are going to have to get an online photo storage program account going. They are ease to do. But you have to put your photo onto their server from your computer and then put it into forum from their site...I think...

It is real easy and quick to get join and to get your pics onto it... super ease!!!

Just hit the join now button and it will walk you through it.

It looks like you are getting the forum upload instructions confused with the photo gallery instructions...

"The picture you want to post needs to be on the internet and you need to know it's address."

This is for forums...

I will have you all messed up soon. Keep taking my advice and we will both need an overhaul soon!! :)

I hope it works.

Ohhhhh maybe thats the problem! I'll have to give that a shot and see what happens... what do you think of it so far?

T

BTW... thanks for "showing off" your color changing skills....lol

The showing off was just to remind you that you have a friend that can help you with it!!! :)

I love it so far. You are going to have itty bitty people in there. I hope you have smaill brushes!!! LOL

By the way, quick lesson for these letter colors, type what you want to say and then select it all and hit B for bold, i for italics...

Font color: Drop down box for color

Font size: Drop down box for size

Actually, I think I'm going to leave the people out so its not quite as graphic as it could be.... I want someone to buy this for the fund raiser not start crying because of it... I just wanted to get the image of the plane without all the gore... does that make any sense?

T

I hear ya, there has been so many tears over this tragedy already. I know what you are saying.

Type the text first, then "select and highlight" the text and then push the B button...Try that for now...

Painterchick, may I call you? PM me your phone number. You can do it and I'll step ya through it on the phone. Once you do it you will have it forever.

Scotty
