Hey Cowboy, I got my Palmbeach boat going. Got a question for you when you pull on the rudders while on the plane to turn left does the boat hooks real hard and you play like hell to correct it. Had that happen to me like to scare the bejesus out of me.

Geoff

Are you talking real heavily front loaded, in deep water?
Trim tab way down in deep water?
Only does this when turning left?
Turns right just fine?
Got plastic on it? (polymer)

I think both you guys should come to the poker run on saturday.Only 10 miles west of 95 on SR 46. Cowboy, you could follow up watchthis and swampwampus they will be coming from lake worth and have run here before.

Got plastic on it? yes brand new (polymer)

It also has a 530# supercharge 0540 on it. And I swear at 2200 rpm it's seems to be riding on it a$$. Doesn't seem to get on top of the water like a flat bottom boat does???

Gotcha 550.
I would'nt mind following Watch this up there. No problem.
From all I've heard you saying about Swampus latley, I don't know if I want to follow him up the highway.
All that swampgas might peel the paint off my truck!

Jolly Gator from here is darned sure doable.

Saturday is Mrs Cowboy's birthday, so I better stay near the ranch.
Wish I could make it man, cause I sure would'nt mind hanging out with y'all. Swampus included. He must be a good dude, or you would'nt be ragging on him.

I'm waaay overdue for some marsh time.

Comeone back about your boat HGM.
Not sure if you have a problem or not.

I should have added this:
Palm Beach hulls ain't the first choice for deep water running in my opinion.

They will do it just fine, but there are others that do deep water better.
I usually take it easy on the turns in deep water.
The PB boats really shine when the water is not so deep. They run dry real well also. I just think they are a good allrounder. Not the very best at absolutely everything though.

If your not having deep water problems, I'd say there must be something wrong and some checking is in order.
I'd sure like to see a photo of your boat. Post one if you get a chance.

Getting together with 550 ain't a bad idea. He's been around plenty of them style hulls. He'll be able to put an eyeball on it with you if you go.

Heck, 550 probably knows more about airboats than I do, but I'll darned sure help ya any way I can 123.

You posted while I was typing HGM, so I did not see your post before I put the one above.

They do seem to ride low in the deep water. The Thurman we had would jack-up pretty well on the deep water, but could'nt always run the same terrain the Palm Beach hulls can dry. It would get stuck easier.

I think that because they stay low in deep water, they may kinda chine grab at the riser caps, and can hook a real hard turn in deep water. Unless your flat skinn'in it back.

The sled style boats seem to stay on top a little better in the deep water.
Your boat aint hooking in the skinny stuff is it?

Sounds like one bada$$ rig man!

Happy birthday to Mrs Cowboy! Maybe y'all can make it up in a few weeks for the mood/rn wedding. We will be running pretty much of the same area. Watchthis and his brother swampwampus got me into airboating when i went on that first ride to willards 2 story on that 0320 apache I was hooked. We rag on each other all the time. Those guys come up and duck hunt the refuge here every season and shoot snipe on the river.

Geoff, Mike Stossel lives in our neighborhood. He has built many palm beach hulls over the years with his dad and brothers. He may go on the run with us and could give you some advice.
