Great day Saturday. Went to Watermelon for the first time with new hull and motor.
Planes out at about 13 to 1400 RPMS. No hopping. No spray out the side of the hull, only straight out the back. No GPS so can't say how fast, just a lot of tears, cheeks waving, and deck lid standing straight up.
Several of by buddys have Jimmys hull and all run great.
Don't know about the pistons yet. I ran some booster in it but as with any slower burning high octane fuel the engine ran hotter than I like. Did not notice the heat problem with jus me up, but with the wife and G'kid it took a little more throttle and seemed to be running hotter. No problem starting even with that Chrysler starter, soon to be replaced with Nipendenso. Little dieseling but not bad.
Power Shift prop is noticable quieter than the old wood paddle, but still noiser than the Sensinech.
Anyone know if you can add pitch to the Powershift, or do you have to stick with the markings on the blade.
Again good ride. Able to cruise with one person below where the power valve kicks in, really does not burn much fuel.
Did not make Orange, maybe this weekend.
