holley carb question??

i have a 220 ground power with a holley double pumper on top. im using only 2 barrels the back,the 2 towards the prop, motor had been running fine, now if i mash it to the floor it hesitates, sometimes for a couple of secs, then seems to run fine. any suggestions?? power valve? accelerater pump?? thanks.......

make sure mud dabbers didn't foul your vent tube..

If it ran good before and now it don't, sounds like the accelerator pump has quit
working. with the engine not running, remove the air filter and look inside the bores,
operate the throttle and you should see gas being squirted into the bores. If no fuel,
the needle under the squirter is stuck, or the pump arm is frozen from rust, or trash could settle in the bottom of the bowl and stop up the hole at the pump check valve.
The carb most likely needs cleaning. Hope this helps. Chuck
