Hoop nets

I have ran nets for years from my flat bottom boat but found it hard to get up and Down rivers with all the hunting leases and shallows to cross. Wondering if airboats are to heavy to handle hoop nets from the bow deck.

I have never run hoop nets but looked on YouTube and can't see why they would be an issue if you had a big stable hull like a 16 or 18 RiverMaster or Kennedy. We originally built my boat to net fish the fall run in the creeks and backwaters. We put two cast netters up on the front. We fabricated a wood insert for them to stand on from plywood which has a small lip and it serves as a cull deck.

It is a fish getting machine !

Cool! I normally fish alone and wondered how much drag the boat would produce in current. Might have to consider anchor system. HAPPY TRAILS!!
