HOUSTON TX AREA

Thanks Rick,

The last I heard close to 100 fwc and 60 boats were sent out. GOV Scott sent our finest and I hope they do us proud!
I'm with sniper on this but I sure hope Texas knows the private/commercial industry is massive but we are grouped within the deadbeat looter class of humans!
Government will never call on it's citizens for help? They just can't grasp the fact that we are still willing and able after taxes!

I did see a long line of FWC trucks w/boats in Texas on Fox Business News this afternoon.

I'm proud of Texas. Looks like the locals stepped up & are making a big difference. It's a way better concept than waiting for the federal government to come save you IMO.

Hope the loss of life news doesn't get worse in the coming days.

Rick

People from all over stepped in. Most efforts you see on done people showed up boats truck etc and went to work. No government running it, each place people did what they could from helping people out of boats to taking the to shelters. Thousands of people and boats flat bottom , fishing boat, airboat, jet skis, canoes etcPeople helping people
The Gov did not get in the way, and people went to work and are working day and night

Every rescue site you saw on TV was people showing up and going to work. Nobody was running. Word got where help was needed. And help showed up. Boat men found out where trouble was.

I live 45 miles south of houston

I'm leaving New Jersey on Thursday morning headed to Ft. Pierce Florida to get my airboat. I sent my contact information to the Cajun Navy and am awaiting their response. If anyone has information about who to contact, I'm interested. I'm not one to deploy on my own so I'd like to team up with a group!!

Sandpiper, I plan on leaving tomorrow morning. I'm in Clermont, right next to the turnpike. I could catch up with you if you plan on coming this way to I-75...

ADVISORY: Just came back Tuesday from areas North of Spring Tx. Had detours to get close to staging launch points. Approaching from West needed detours. Regrouping for trip south around Beaumont/PORT Arthur.
Latest info says GAS is harder to find. BEFORE you go
Make contact with reliable group officials to avoid long detours.
Those who can't go there is much that needs doing.. Find someone travelling with a boat and hand them a prepaid gas card..
Bless you all that have helped.

I'm bringing plenty of supplies (gas, food, water, diesel) to stay self effiecent for 4-5 days. We'll also be bringing battery power tools to help where we can with that. Hopefully going to pull out of Central FL in the next couple hours.

Ringneck, I sent you a PM about contacts.

My number: 321-689-770 nine

I just got back from out there and it is one big unorganized mess lots of people helping from all over the country and and a good many of them don't have a clew what they are doing and there getting into trouble and having to be rescued its a logistical nightmare and the small towns out away from the big city's are having to fend for them selves because all the attention is on the big cities, and we also saw a lot of flooding in Louisiana as well right now they have more than enough Airboats out there the big problem is getting them to where they are needed, lot of the main roads are flooded are flooded and its very difficult getting to where you need to go

Orange and Port Aurthur really need help. Download the app Zello and add the Cajun navy and Texas search and rescue

Sniper,

I heard on local Florida news that the tx gov tweeted please dont cancel your tx reservations or conventions?
Texas is huge but that tweet alone speaks volume's.

Now I wonder what Scott will do with what Florida has coming up the channel at it?
