The pe-150 hp rating @ 150 is the milspec rating for the engine.
0-470 is the cubic inch displacement for the unit.
The genset or pump or whatever the application for the military was
150hp @ x#rpm. The engine can turn 220hp but @ 3200rpm, but props should only go to 2750rpm max. Realistically the engine has about 175hp-180hp @ 2750rpm. With serious upgrades; carb, dual mags, dual plugs
the engines can perform and are good when set up right.
Some posts here on the forum will agree with this and some disagree.
The aircraft version of an 0-470 in carb form is on average rated 213hp @ 2750rpm. Just Google search on the internet and you will find all kinds of info on these.
