I have been visiting for about a year now--this site is a great resource. I thought it was about time to join the team--I plan on being a site supporter, as this is one of the best airboat relating sites on the web. :D

Welcome Steve. We're getting a lot of members in Texas lately. The more the better.

Pretty soon I'll bet we see some monthly rides going on in the texas area too.

Glad you're here.

matt.

Welcome aboard Shiggs and Merry Christmas to you and your family :santa: :reindeer: :reindeer: :reindeer:

Good Morning Shiggs, I'm right around the corner in Pearland. I don't think you will see too many rides being put together as along the coast this time of year those snow birds are trying there best to get rid of us. This is a great site and has helped me out twice in the short time I've been on.

Welcome, I always Love to see more Texan's. I live in Florida right now but I am heading back to the Lone Star State in another Year and a half.

I love Florida, but if I was forced to leave tomorrow my next stop would be San Antonio. "That will be one cold Lone Star longneck please .... :) ."

Thanks Yall,

I hope all of yall have a MERRY CHRISTMAS also!!!

Swampjet--Friendswood is just south of Conroe. It is between Houston and Galveston. I live in Friendswood now but I call Rockne-Bastrop area home--towards Austin. Although as a son of a Fighter Pilot we moved around quite a bit when I was a kid. I was born in Lubbock TX--lived in Louisiana and Texas mostly--We did do a 3 year stint in the country of Panama, which was great being a kid and having a dad that loved the outdoors--Panama is an outdoorsman's paradise.

Beau--We will have to get together and run the boats.

Thanks
Steve

Shiggs,

Welcome to the best airboating resource in the world!

Hey, check out the frapper map link from any page on Southern Airboat. It's in the upper right side near the search and memberlist bars, it show members from state to state. There are a lot of ya'll in Texas but not that many on the map.

Might wanna consider starting a TAA to represent airboaters there in case ya'll have the problems facing us here in Florida

I just joined about a week ago myself and am learning a lot from this site. I would love to be a part of starting an airboat club in Texas. I live in Wimberley and keep my boat in Port O'Connor. Starting a club for Texas boaters is probably a good idea. I'll bet we could save a lot of time and grief learning from those on this site that have already done it and are up and running now.

Another TEXICAN... OUTSTANDING!!!! :D

There's alot of good info & this site & the members are great. :wav:

Hey Olf Art ... in SA that would be "Una mas cervesa, por favor" :smilebox:

... hmmm an airboat club in TX. Me & my pardnuh's are way N of ya'll Coasties, but...

There is a small group of airboaters that run the Brazos near Whitney

Around 6 years ago there was a club called Texoma Airboat Club ..... members from both Texas and Oklahoma. I was an out-of-State member but I don't think the club is still active.

In my opinion, y'all do need to organize if you can. Getting together with others is a hoot, and you'll also already be better organized to deal with legislative issues.
An organization gets the ear of a legislator a lot faster that a letter from an individual.

Start one and tell me where to send my dues.
